Hong Kong-listed stocks in the printed circuit board (PCB) sector surged on Wednesday, signaling renewed investor confidence in electronics component manufacturers.
The rally was led by industry giant Kingboard Laminates (01888.HK), which saw its shares climb 9.77 percent. Other significant gainers included KHG Hi-Tech (01989.HK), which rose 7.45 percent, and Shenghong Technology (02476.HK), which posted a 7.16 percent increase. Kingboard Holdings (00148.HK), the parent company of Kingboard Laminates, also advanced 5.42 percent.
The broad-based rally in the sector could point to a re-evaluation of valuations by the market, potentially driven by expectations of increased demand for electronics or favorable shifts in the global supply chain. Such sharp, concentrated buying may attract further capital, potentially leading to sustained momentum for these companies.
